Tell us a little bit about yourself (i.e. where are you from, where’d you go to school, what you do for a living, etc.)
I was born in Dayton, raised in Gahanna, and graduated from THE Ohio State University. I was elected to the Board of Education when I was 18, and I also served on City Council. For the last three years, I’ve worked for the City in our Department of Public Service and Engineering.

Why are you running for this office?
I’m running for Mayor of Gahanna to ensure the next generation has the same great opportunities I had growing up here. I intend to act as a pivot point for our city, where a new progressive vision and fearless, revitalized leadership raises Gahanna to new heights and improves the quality of living for all. I look forward to doing the hard work required to build a better future for Gahanna’s residents and providing an example of progressive governance and Democratic values in action.

What are the most important issues on your campaign?
There are no major or hot-button issues in our city right now (which is a good thing for a change). I am most concerned with modernizing our city government, being more transparent about how we spend our tax dollars, and creating feedback mechanisms to ensure that all voices in our community are heard.

Give us a fun fact about yourself.
In high school I was the lead singer and rhythm guitarist for a rock band

Side note: We'll be blunt - campaigns cost money. Even if you're not on the ballot, the people running this November are going to have direct impact on your lives, so we're doing everything we can to make sure this impact starts with Young Dems. Can you chip in $5 to help us fund our campaign?
