Why are you running?

I’m running because I believe that Toledo needs young, progressive voices during this time of growth. We need candidates that aren’t afraid to try new ideas and policy that can keep us moving forward.

What are the most important issues on your campaign?

I’m very concerned about the quality of our Lake, the crumbling infrastructure and roads we use, and ensuring our children are safe and receive a quality education. At the same time, I want to ensure that opportunities are available to all with regard to housing, education, and jobs.

Give us a fun fact about yourself.

I attended a sister march to the Women’s March on Washington in Munich this past January.

Who is your favorite president? Why?

Obama! I worked hard during both of his campaigns and met some of the most amazing people along the way. We all shared and were able to witness history during our lifetimes. I will never forget that feeling. I will forever be thankful for his contributions for the advancement of the LGBTQ rights movement, and certainly much more.

What’s your favorite food on the campaign trail? Why?

Pizza, specifically from Pizza Cat, because duh!

If you could be a superhero, who would you be? Why?

Professor X. It would make canvassing much easier.

If you were a professional athlete what song would you choose to be your “walk out” song?

"Victory" by Janelle Monae

What was your first paid job?

Little League Baseball Umpire

How can young dems help in your race?

I would love to have people volunteer. The campaign would love to set you up with a virtual phone bank. Coming to Toledo to canvass is also wonderful. Donations don’t hurt, either 😉

Want to help out Nick's campaign?! Join OYD and the Young Democrats of America Great Lakes Region in Toledo on Saturday, September 9, 2017 for a meeting and GOTV (primary) canvass. See the schedule and then RSVP!
